Currently most of our Piston Kits include a matching Piston Ring Set. 
Over the years Diamond has changed part numbers as well as the Ring Stack. 
For this reason, there are a few notes below to help you find the correct Piston Ring set.

0906 Prefix - The 0906 prefix is a Total Seal Plasma Moly Top Ring Set that includes Cast Iron RBT 2nd Rings and 3 Piece SS Oil Rings. Ring Stack is 1.5mm x 1.5mm x 3mm and these Piston Rings fit the older 5 digit part number pistons that do not include a R1 suffix. The Plasma Moly Rings are good for N/A and mild Forced Induction applications up to 700-800 HP. Above that, a Steel Top Ring is recommended. 

0905 Prefix - The 0905 prefix is a Total Seal AP Steel Top Ring Set that inlcudes Stainless Steel C-33 PVD Coated Top Rings, Cast Iron RBT 2nd Rings and 3 Piece SS Oil Rings. The AP Steel Top Ring is designed for power adder applications and is the suggest ring set for most Ford Modular power adder applications. These Rings have a 1.5mm x 1.5mm x 3mm Ring Stack and fit all the same PN's as the 0906 suffix and are direct replacements for all the RS Suffix / Mod2K Pistons. 

0940 Prefix -The 0940 prefix is a NPR Ring Set consisting of a Gas Nitrdided Steel Top Ring, RBT Cast Iron 2nd Ring and 3 Piece SS Oil Ring Set. The Gas Nitrided Steel Top Ring works very well with power adder applications and can withstand very high cylinder pressures. Very similar to the AP Steel, but not the same. This Piston Ring Set is included with the 4.6L / 5.4L Competition Series Pistons. This Piston Ring set uses a 1.2mm x 1.5mm x 3mm Ring Stack. These Piston Rings are a direct replacement for all Ford Modular PN's with a R1 suffix from 3.552" - 3.572" Bore and are not interchangable with any of the earlier part numbers. 

0952 Prefix - The 0952 prefix is a Total Seal AP Steel Top Ring Set that includes Ductile Iron, Napier Cut 2nd Rings and 3 Piece SS Oil Rings. These Piston Ring are included in our 5.0L Coyote Competition Series and 5.8L Shelby Series Piston Kits. Ring Stack is 1.2mm x 1.5mm x 3mm. You will not find a better piston ring set off the shelf than the 0952 Series. Available from 3.630" - 3.681" Bore and does not fit the Mod2K piston lineup.
