These camshafts will support over 1500 WHP. Ported Heads with oversize valves / seats highly recommended. Stock, unported 03 / 04 Cobra and Mach 1 Heads OK. Single Groove valves recommended due to RPM Range. Designed 82/84 - Pro Mod 94mm Single or Twins up to 72/75. Ported Short Runner, Sullivan Single Plane or Hogan sheet metal Intake Manifold suggested. Shift points will be 8400 - 8800 RPM depending on Turbo / Intake combination. Will support up to 40lbs of boost. 4L80E, TH400 or Powerglide w/ Brake and 4000 - 4800 stall suggested.
For larger Single Turbo applications that may have some trouble spooling up, we suggest tightening up the LSA to 113. You will still want to run 5 Degrees of advance making your center lines 108 / 118.
We have made over 1400 with this camshaft profile with a Single T4 88mm and stock, unported 03 / 04 Cobra Cylinder heads with nothing other than our Stage 4 Springs, Manley Singe Groove Valves and new exhaust seats. NO PORT WORK.
There is absolutely no reason to run a larger camshaft profile than this for a Turbo 4V. These cylinder heads do not need a ton of duration to make insane power. If you are having trouble making optimal power, it is not due to a lack of camshaft duration. There is either an intake manifold restriction or back pressure issue due to turbine housing size. All a larger camshaft profile will do is hurt spool time.
