These JE FSR Pistons are specifically designed for high horsepower Ford Modular applications. The new FSR - Forged Side Relief strutted forging allows for a good amount of weight savings while adding material where it's needed for extra strength. This particular set of Pistons fits the 5.4L 3V Engine and has valve reliefs to accommodate aftermarket camshafts. The 5.4L specific pistons have a raised compression height bringing the piston crown closer to the top of the deck. The stock 5.4L pistons sit down in the bore around .120" which is not very efficient. By bringing the crown of the piston closer to the deck of the block, combustion efficiency and flame travel is significantly improved. Supplied with .150" Wall 5115 Alloy Wrist Pins. Optional .230" Wall 9310 Alloy Wrist Pins available as an upgrade and suggested for 700 + HP.
