Melling M360 Ford 4.6L / 5.4L 3V and GT500 Oil Pump

Since Ford Racing has discontinued the M-6600-F46 Oil Pump Assembly, the Melling M360 is now our go-to 3V Oil Pump. Melling advertises this pump as having a 20% increase in flow over the OEM Pump. In our opinion, there is no flow gained if the gear thickness or diameter is not increased. This pump housing is also our preferred pump housing for our S7 Tool Steel Oil Pump Gears which also fit the OEM 3V / GT500 Pump. The Melling M360 has the exact same gear dimensions as the OEM pump. 

Although this oil pump does not have a billet steel backing plate like the M-600-F46 did, it does have a cast iron backing plate that does not allow flex. 2 different materials, but the same purpose. Any flex from the backing plate can allow oil to dump right back into the pan. This is another reason this oil pump is our preferred OEM replacement pump for 3V and GT500 Engines. 

This oil pump can also be used for performance 4.6L / 5.4L 2V and 4V applications. Uses a standard 3V / 4V 15/16" Pickup Tube Diameter. Will not work with OEM 2V 13/16" Pickup Tube. 

*The Boundary Billet Oil Pump Gear does not have the necessary chamfer that the M360 is designed for, causing a known fitment issue.
