Allstar Performance 1 3/4" Plastic Freeze Plug Driver 

This Allstar Performance Freeze Plug Driver is made from a high density, impact resistant plastic. Simply install the freeze plug onto the end of the driver and use a hammer to drive it. This particular driver fits 1 3/4" freeze plugs. This is the correct size driver for the 8 larger freeze plugs found in the 4.6L and 5.4L Windsor Iron Blocks. 

Please Note: This driver is designed for deep cup freeze plugs, the kind that can be found in our freeze plug kits. It is important to measure the step height of the driver to unsure you are not hitting the inner part of the freeze plug. The step is simply meant for locating the plug. You want to driver to contact the outer portion of the freeze plug only. If the inner step bottoms out first, you can easily collapse the walls of the plug, altering the press fit and possibly having issues later on. This plastic is easily machinable. It is our recommendation to make sure their is at least a .020" gap between the bottom of the inner step and the inner portion of the freeze plugs. Too short is okay, too long is not good.
