There is a very well known shortcoming with the 6G alternator of the 1999-2004 Mustang GT system. KMJ fixed it by offering a larger case, for improved cooling and more efficient production of power. The larger case acts like a heat sink allowing more heat to be shed.

The "Big 3" wiring upgrade kit is a must for any charging system, but especially with an upgraded alternator. This wiring upgrade will allow more current to flow more easily to all of the components drawing energy. This will give your electrical system a more consistent voltage, regardless of the demands.

Modular Head Shop is now stocking many versions of the KMJ alternators. However, we are only doing so in specific combinations. That combination is 200A, Big 3 wiring upgrade, and powder coated gloss black finish. If you desire any other variation of options, just know the alternator will be built to order. This process can take up to 5-7 business days after the order is processed. 

*A Lifetime Warranty is standard for ALL domestic orders. Lifetime replacement warranty covers the original purchaser for defects in materials and workmanship. Should the unit fail to function we will replace it free of charge minus shipping costs to us. Warranty does not cover improper installation or physical damage.  Special coatings/finishes will be rebuilt using the original housings. International orders are not covered under warranty due to logistic expenses.
