Modular Head Shop 5.0L Coyote Street / Strip Rod and Piston Combo 

This Rod and Piston combo is designed to suit most Gen 1, Gen 2 and Gen 3 Coyote applications with stock sleeves or liners, or under 1400 WHP. The same components included in this combo have well exceeded that rating for quite some time. These parts are track proven! For the Connecting Rods, we are using the Callies Compstar. This is the same rod as the "Power Adder Plus", an offshore 4340 forging that is finished in the US and supplied with 7/16" ARP 2000 Rod Bolts. The Pistons we use are manufactured for us by Wiseco and this is the same forging we have been using for just about a decade with zero failures. Well into the 4.5x range in the 1/8 mile in multiple combos. This rod and piston combo is hands down the best bang for the buck for any application under 1400 WHP. 

We currently offer this combo is 3 different bore sizes. 3.630", 3.640" and 3.662" Bore. 3.701" for the Predator Blocks will be available in the near future. The 3.662" is designed to fit a factory GEN 3 Coyote Cylinder Bore. 

It's best to start with a 3.630" Bore if it's going to be sleeved. This way you have the most amount of bore material left for servicing.

Average Bobweight is 1750g - 1760g depending on bore size.

If starting from scratch, a Gen 3 or Predator Crankshaft is the best option. They will come will less holes drilled and closer to the target bobweight than a Gen 1 / 2 or Boss Crankshaft. Both will require small amounts of heavy metal on each end of the crankshaft.
